Ask the children what they learned today when we visited the Life Education mobile classroom this morning.
We are learning about the air we breathe.
We learned some scientific words like, oxygen, trachea, lungs, heart and carbon dioxide.
Here is a picture of a puzzle we helped Harold with. Harold was so funny!
Mrs Akkerman wonders if anyone can tell mum or dad a bit about the respiration cycle ?
We breathe in air called
oxygen through our
nose and
mouth. Then the
oxygen goes down our special pipe called a
trachea into our
lungs. In our lungs the
oxygen gets into our
blood and our heart pumps our blood all around our body.
The air we breathe out is called carbon dioxide which goes around the corner and finds trees, plants and flowers. The plants breathe in carbon dioxide and then breathe out oxygen.
Guess who breathes in oxygen again?
